As your body depletes its glycogen stores, it also releases water, leading to a rapid decrease in weight. This is due to the fat cells finally releasing their stored water. Months 4-6 are where you may experience another plateau. Again, don’t get discouraged - your body is still adjusting and healing. Stick to your keto diet and you will see results. Overall, it’s important to remember that weight loss is not the only benefit of the keto diet. Many people report increased energy levels, improved focus, and even better sleep. Stick to your keto diet, trust the process, and enjoy the many benefits it has to offer.
